Summary of Role
 
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the full development life cycle, including requirement gathering, systems/business analysis and technical development.
 
You will be developing new and maintaining existing websites and back office systems. You will also have strong experience of the .NET framework, n-tier development, SQL Server, C# and XML/XSLT/XHTML.
 
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, XP/Extreme programming, UML would be desirable.
 
Experience of classic ASP and Visual Basic would also be derisible.
 
Responsibilities

Design of new systems from the ground up.
Development of new business web based initiatives.
Development of our call-centre applications.
Development of new web services.
Enable our Continuous Improvement plan for the web. 
Implementation of new technologies for the web site.
Assist in the development of design standards and guidelines.
Provide mentoring and assistance to more junior Team Members.
Provide out of hours support after a suitable period of experience.
Seek to expand business and technical knowledge.
 

Criteria

Experience in a professional development role.
Proven track record in design of green field projects is essential.
Experience of requirements capture and documentation.
Experience of a design methodology, such as UML, would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, usability, coding, accessibility and web standards.
Experience in C# .Net development , ASP.Net and SQL.
Experience in ASP and Visual Basic would be useful but not essential.
Competent with XML/XSLT/XHTML.
Experience in CSS/JavaScript/Ajax/SEO would be an advantage.
Demonstrate ability to Plan and Prioritise work.
Integrate quickly and work well within a team environment.
The successful applicant will have a passion for technology and the ability to perform in a highly dynamic and fast changing environment.
